CoShiCo2In Japanese the word “Shi” means Finger and “Atsu” means Pressure.

Zen shiatsu is a traditional healing technique in which pressure is applied sensitively but firmly over the body, penetrating to work at a deep level to promote and maintain health and to treat specific conditions.

In this 3 hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Zen shiatsu in a very practical way:

  • introduction to meridians
  • meridian stretches (Makko Hos)
  • self-shiatsu
  • the basics of how to give a zen shiatsu treatment to friends and family

It will be a fun interactive workshop to become confident with healing touch using Connection, Presence, Breath.

Please bring a yoga mat and a sarong if you have one.

This is the 9th Activist Wellbeing Workshop organised by Plan To Thrive, and will be facilitated by Armelle, Lucy and Christine from the Community Shiatsu Co-operative.
